Hey Treemonkey,

Great shots especially the third one. In using your flash to bounce the light, did you use a hand held card? Tell us how you did that.

Thanks for sharing.

Jering
Hi Jering,

I just simply tape a piece of paper to the top of the flash. It works great. i then adjust the power via the power output or by tilting the flash head. I have looked at getting a proper diffuser but this seems to work well and generally doesnt tend to give hot spots.

awesome shots! i KNOW you used a tripod - how'd you get the li'l bug to stay put?? and all you used was the 6T? very impressive...
TRIPOD! Never! Tripods get in the way. Especially with damsel flys you need to move very slowly and carefully otherwise they will just take off. A tripod is clumsy and gets in the way. The 6T has enough depth of field at f8 that hand held isnt to difficult. I do have an eye cup for the EVF which I always use for macro shots.

Awesome! As always. Much better than the one I took of a giant radioactive damselfly fighting with Godzilla while visiting Osaka recently. Of course, this wasn't a macro.
Thanks Nick, I dont know what part of the world you come from but that is one heck of a critter! I dont quite think the 6T would be necessary!
