The wind was @ stormforce on the beach: Wickeeeed

-The Kurhaus. Note the bended flagpole and torn flag (inserted picture is a closeup of the top-flag)

-Fishingboat (I presume) leaving the Scheveningen harbor.

- A look under the peer: You DON'T wanna swim there :G

-Looking to the south. The Maasvlakte powerplant is visible in the distance

Gotta go to the seaside everytime it's stormy; BIG fun

Cheers, GB

truly different atmosphere compared to your other series. I don't know which one I like the most but they are both great.

I like the rough see at the 3th picture. The last picture is the best IMO. You've frozen all the action.. rough waves and hundreds of seagulls going around. Great !!

Thanks Tim and Suze,

Indeed quite difference, and there's only a very short timebreak in the 'happy' and rough series; The 'pier-with-wave-by-nightfall' is my new desktop wallpaper

I have created a page on Pbase with additional images, and awiiide panorama, taken from the bungy jump tower on the pier (a must see )

Cheers! GB

not sure what "stormforce" means... any particular number on the Beaufort scale? in any case, those are pretty cool shots. i think i like #2 the best... it really captures the power and "anger" of the sea during foul weather...

Thanks folks:arrow:

The data from the nearest weatherstation sais 6 Bft, max measured gust of 24Kts (8 Bft). Thus, not yet stormforce. Well, guess that's good news; it means the pic's can be MUCH better (yes I like rough weather :G)

I was mistaking; max gust was 24m/s so that is 48Kts (if I remeber correct that 1 knot= 1.82 Km/h and m/s x 3.6 = Km/h )
