I can levitate but not all that well. I can only do it when I'm really, really gazzy and there's no Beano in da house, and just for a couple seconds.

new canon rebel the 350d lighter and smaller, it also has larger CCD than the 4/3 Pana Oly CCD size.

Test I read on the Oly 4/3 DLSR shows higher noise at ASA1600, perhaps the CCD size for 4/3 DSLR was not a wise decision agreed they wan't to keep lens size weight down, but advantage of low noise at high ASA maybe be a compromise.

The new 2um CCD pana has may make the diff tho to the final pana DSLR.
Still the 350D looks a good as 1st time DSLR.
For me and most others the one lens 36 - 430mm FZxx still hard to beat if only high ASA noise could be improved a little.

ps. yep the 350D is edible

John

I saw the review of the new Canon DSLR on dpreview - it does look good and as a 1st time DSLR I'm sure it'll be a good buy but I'm with you on the FZ's len's that does it.

When the canon turns up in the store, I'll take some ketchup, salt and pepper with me to make sure it really is edible!

I'm not very convinced either.. I think canon will be marketleader for a long time now... the 350D will sell like bigmacs...
