The real reason that Panasonic uses the letter K for all the black model camera's and video camera's is that Kuro is the Japanese word for black.

I was just going to put my 2 cents in about Kuro being black in Japanese but I was beaten to the punch! Oh well, being a smart alec on the internet means you canĀ“t ever sleep!
