This morning's sunrise and theunusually warmmid-February weather told me to get out and take some pics. And so I did, although the clouds had moved in by the time I got down to Pennypack Creek near where I live. The sunrise shot is at 7 this morning from my backyard across the creek maybe 1/3 mile as the crow flies - 12x zoom. The Canadian goose is with the tl55 at 7x zoom. Probably could have gotten the shot without the tl55 but I had it on. It's nice to know you can back off on the zoom without vignetting. The tl55 is a 55mm 1.45x tele; very nice quality lens and much smaller than the tcon17, et al. The third shot is about 1/2 mile upstream from where the goose was. Taken from under the Welsh Rd Bridge.

There are still few of these wonderful fz1's out there at <$200. One fantastic camera.

- Fred

Fred,

As always very nice. I'm happy to see some good shots with the FZ1 - TL55 combo. I think I may get one of them for use with my FZ3 some day.

Keep up the good work.

You know, one thing I think the FZ-1 does a really nice job of is render accurate greens. Note the second shot.

The tl55 can occasionally be seen on ebay used for ~$60. I was fortunate enough to get one for that.Currently, there are a couple for $140 buy now. That's too high. I guess $90 is about the best you can do right now and thereare indications(have been for some time) that Canon has discontinued production. If you want one, you may not want to wait much longer. Because of its size and 55mm threads it is a perfect match for the fz1/2/3 (and soon to be fz4/5).

Nick - Yes, the fz1 does greens very nicely.
