It is a very complex and scientific procedure, I hold it there! I am still working on a mounting system.

Great, give them a try. Its a easy and cheap way of getting into macro photography.

I think this is actually Microphotography.

The image does not look oversharpened at all.
Great result, not only for the way you did it and thematerial you've used. That's really a great pic. One of those you are accustoming us to.

I can count its hairs, see the eyes' cells, and the left antler, the iridescent reflections of the wings...

I guess 5 out of 100 is nearly a normal success rate with that lens, hand held, and a DOF of about 2-300 microns!!!

insanely close shot! i tried holdingthe Asahi Pentax f1.2 50mm lens (it came with my ME Super wheni bought that years ago)in front of my FZ20, and got similar magnification, but holding the camera with one hand and the lens with the other wasn't conducive to even attempting a photo... maybe if i could devise a way to hold it in place... for now, though, i think i'll stick with the 6T... :G
