Wow! I don't think I've seen such a bright, sunny day in awhile! Cold, but sunny!

Here is my first trip I've been able to make to The Gates project. I still don't know how I feel about it. (asgood art should do) It's so massive, so unavoidable, but added a bright color not native to the central park landscape.

Either way, here are some of my shots from today. As always, I love your critiques and suggestions!

THANKS

I think I really liked the way the fabric was playing in the wind... and upon closer look, the lady pointing seems VERY excited!

I have been wondering what the Gates project was and now I guess I know. Sorry, but it reminds me of a bunch of orange highway construction signs. Not your photography, just the (art?) itself.

I thought the red stoplight and the yellow housing looked cool with the orange gate.

There we go.

tcook, a LOT of people I've talked to and read online have mentioned the construction zone thing! I think a bright yellow or maybe a bright purple would have been a more pleasant choice of color. I think the mindtendsto associate orange with danger.

(heh, I'm tempted to run to ritz camera, print out some 5x7's, grab someclearance rackframesand go stand on the corner and sellmy medeocre photos to tourists!!!)
