Amazing and devastating. Theyare the main supplier of photograhic equipmenton the East Coast, at least , and perhaps nationwide. From the report:

"As for the cause, Eyewitness News is told that some type of tool, like a sauldering iron or torch, caught cardboard boxes full of television monitors on fire."

Hopefully the building waspacked to the walls and ceiling with nothing but tv monitors.

Another quote, from dpreview:

"Place your order and get a black FZ3.......... "

Crude!

This is really too bad, lets hope they had really good insurance. I just received my Nikon 4T in the mail today from them. Great store to buy from.

I just ordered a camera from them yesterday (2-24-05), talked to their customer service at about 4pm PST (7pm EST) and nothing was mentioned about the fire. Received a verification today of the order information and the rep stated in the email it was being processed today. Hopefully it wasn't as bad as this makes it out to be.

I ordered an Oly WCON-07 last Friday, 2/18, and got it yesterday, 2/24. I can't help help it. The black FZ3 comment was funny. I did see in the Pro Digital Talk forum at DPR that they will be shipping again by Monday.
