...and my favorite subject, my two-year-old son, Tanner. Compared to my previous camera, the Canon Powershot G5, my FZ20 locks into focus swiftly and accurately in low-light conditions, rather than fishing around aimlessly as the Canon did. This one was taken at probably about 3-4x zoom in low light with the internal flash. I like the warmskin tones despite the direct flash exposure. What I do not like is that both viewfinders are completely dark in very low or nolight. Some "gain-up" of the viewfinder in low-light situation would be an improvement next time around.

You guys are killin' me here! Guaz stop complaining about the weather, at least you have oranges growing, we are in between snow storms here in NYC, and so far the weather changes so rapidly we have grey slushing gook within hours, so hasn't been fun commuting in the past week. Great pictures, and if it wasn't the weekend, our 24 hour grocery would be open and I would be going down right now for oranges! Love your work, keep it up, and keep posting. And hopefully you will get a bright sunny day!

Thanks. I am right up here in the hills north of downtown L.A., east of Hollywood, close to Dodger Stadium. I grew up, however, in a small town in Germany, an hour from Hamburg. Can't wait to take someshots next time I am there. Last time I had my Canon G5and took this shot in my hometown of Stade.Thepictureis actually stitched together from four individual images that I took with a tripod clockwise from the top left.

Today, I'll be out playing with my FZ20 again, hopefully landing some nice shots.

I have one I shot at ISO 400 for a test on noise at that setting.

F 4.6 , 1/500 , 9X zoom. Woodpecker was about 100 feet
away.

While there is noise...still pretty happy with the shot.

Seemed like the little guy posed for me...I still can't understand how they can sit on those needles and appear to not notice.
