:OThis is a asian water monitor (Varanus salvator). They range from Sambawa in the south to the Philippines in the North, and from S.W. coast of India in the west to Borneo in the east.... wonderful animals.

I am writing a book on monster lizards - would it be possible to use Photo #2, the stare in my book?

Mbayless, these fellas look pretty similar to what, in Australia, we would call a goanna. I know there are many species of goanna but are any of them the same as this one?
