i've been using Irfanview for some time, just didn't know about the save quality adjustment feature! actually, between Irfanview and Picasa, they do most of what I need for PP, which is why (so far) i haven't felt the need to spring for PS or PSP...

...and I love your avatar, Jazzmaster. Not too many people around that are into Pharoah Sanders. I saw him at the Catalina Bar and Grill last time he was in town here in L.A. Looks like we got some things in common: taste in music, taste in cameras...taste in women???? :?...and we both live in L.A. Which part of town are you in? I am in the Echo Park Hills.

True, but there are some cool cats around these days like Kenny Garrett, Joshua Redman, Wallace Roney, Brian Blade, Christian McBride, etc. What I hate is that stuff on the wave, the Kenny G's and Dave Koz's of the world. Generic junk.

There aren't many jazz clubs here in L.A. as far as I know. New York is much cooler that way, especially Greenwich Village. Even in Germany, where I am from there seems to be a greater appreciation of this true American Art form.

Maybe we can have a few drinks in some jazz dive some day.
