First off I want to thank everyone for the nice comments. I sure would like to see some green- maybe in April:sad:. As far as the last pic of my wife's "lighthouse", it was taken from the back sliding glass door using flash and Auto mode. I tried some before that using Aperature/no flash and they were not "a pretty pic". Personally I liked how the night pic came out. I just keep trying different settings as I have only had the FZ20 a short time. The problem is that I forget what I did in prior situations. But just keep trying... thanks, Gerry

Great shots! My family has a summer home in the Catskills. I love it up there, very peaceful, and "nature"-ful. Good luck digging out of all of that snow. We got a lot down here, but most of it melted already.

Nancy, thanks for the comments. We are going up to the Adirondacks for a week the end of June fishing and stuff. Reall pretty in the summer but they are of course to short! Gerry

ps: Why not update your profile with "state or country or world" in location area. I personally enjoy seeing where people are from when looking at their pics, etc... It's just amazing-realtime communication around the world.

Just for fun I used Picasa to manipulate one of the snow scenes. I thought they were beautiful as is but since I'm learning Picasa I find myself tweaking all kinds of different scenes just to get a feel of what the software can do. Hope you don't mind.

Bill, not a problem. Nice job! Wish I had time to play with all the cool software and such to improve and give a different perspective to photos.. Gerry

ps to Nancy- thanks for updating the location. Now about the "summer home"

Yes it's the free Google Picasa. FYI I used Auto Color, Auto Contrast, Sharp, Saturate and Glow. Adjusted the Glow size to make the Barn pop.

Bill, is this the "Picasa 2" photo management program that pops up at the top of a google search. And I believe is owned by google? Thanks, Gerry
