Hi All

I've had an FZ20 for just over a month now and so far the only filter I have is a UV filter. I would like to know what filters you recommend and bare in mind I live in SA, where is the best place to buy them. One other thing to consider is that I really enjoy time exposure shots of water areas.

The only filters I use are ND filters and a polarizer, both types of which seem to be what you want for water shots.

It is my understanding B & H ships worldwide.

You may find you want an adapter to use smaller filters as 72mm filters are expensive. If so here is a link for one.

Thanks for the advice Genece. Could you tell me what the difference is between the two filters as the photo shop people told me when I asked for an ND filter that they sell polarizer filters instead, which do a very similar thing.

also check out 2filter.com, which besides selling filters discusses some of their uses and differences in quality. selection, price (including shipping) and availability can equal or better b&h.

Just got a Quantaray Circular Polarizer filter and went to a car show. Put on my filter and started taking shots. After viewing the shots later I found most of my shots were too dark. Does the FX20 not adjust for the filter? or should I be setting the camera a stop to compinsate for it.

Thanks,
Still learning this digital world of cameras....:?:
