Nooner, thanks to you also. I guess I was also to dumb to understand what you were trying to tell me. When you do something for the first time, sometimes it's difficult to get your head around what's being said.... Gerry

well this thread has a happy ending.....that flash thingy on the fz can get really trippy ..there's lots of bells and whistle on the camera i had all kinds of problems that were resolved by scracthing my head and pressing bottons until i saw the x's..and o's ..it's not a point and shoot camera..
but for dollar for dollar i can't complain..
it blows my old minolta 35 mmm film slr camera away..

I don't know how smart I am - I made the same mistake about two weeks ago. I guess the smart thing is that I figured it out, remembered it later - and could help you out!

I did the same thing when I got my Sunpak 383 - it was driving me nuts and boy did I feel stupid when I worked out what I had done wrong !
