I've read a lot of posts on the Form and have seen a lot of images inserted directly in the posts. But when I try to insert attachment only link appears. How to insert pix not links directly into post? I did not find the answer in Help topics. May be I'm a very very stupid guy, but help please!

Thanks.

First your images have to be on the web somewhere.. I see you've accomplished that so you are half way there. The quick way, if you look in the menu bar of the message window you are typing in, you'll see a square with 3 small color circles next to the quotes.. Hit that and you'll get tags "[img][/img]" (or just type them in yourself). With your photo opened in another bowser or frame, right click on the image and hit "copy link location". Paste it in between those 2 image tags. Repeat for each one. If using photobucket as someone else suggested, use the URL. Just copy and paste..

Just be kind to us folks with dialups and refrain from posting inline images as large as your "winter in the city" photo (very nice by the way).. If you have several of those, post the URL instead.

Good luck,
Jeff

Your pictures are to large. They should have a width of about 700 pixels. You can use IrfanView for resizing. It's freeware.

If you already have your picture up on a host server, then I think what you need to do is use the image tags on both sides of your URL address ...

Many thanks to jsiladi (Jeff of USA) for providing a URL for the sample used above and to photobucket.com for hosting his picture so that it had a URL.

I'd also like to thank Steves Forums for hosting this site, Al Gore for creating the "Information Superhighway®" (aka: The World Wide Web) and Tim Berners-Lee of CERN (the European Laboratory for Particle Physics in Geneva, Switzerland) for developing HTML.
