It seems like it's a requirement of this forum to post a photo of a brown/black bird. Here's my first attempt.

nice shot,
I like the strong diagonals ( echoed in the background)
and the striking, sharp pose of the bird.
I vote this best pic of the day.

Wow! Best pic of the day? I don't know about that -- but THANK YOU!!!

I noticed a little, correct me if Im' wrong on the term, "chromatic abrasion" on the fencing just below the bird.

jazzmaster, thanks for the ID. I'd do anything to see a blue jay or a cardinal or something! Every bird seems to mix in with the brown leaves on the ground or the grey pavement!!
