I found very hard time to Af on the clear sky.

(And even on nice contrasted subjectsif light is not excellent I don't get a nice focusing. Very often appears a big green square instead the small one.)

any suggest?

Thank's

plain ol' open sky is about impossible for ANY camera to focus on... there's nothing to tell it when it's in focus. unlike a manual focus 35mm SLR lens, there's no indication with the FZ'z as to where the lens is focussed, so you can't just set it for infinity and call it good. I would imagine that if you focussed on something distant on the ground and then locked the focus setting by half-pressing the shutter button, or using manual focus, you'd get what you need, though, becausemost lenses consider anything more than, say, 50-100m away as "infinity". the FZ lenses have a lot of DOF at anything other than close focal settings, especially if you're using a small aperture, so even if you're off a tad, it really won't matter much.

the 'big green box' instead of the small one merely means you're using spot focus mode instead of centerweighted. as long as you GET a green box (and a solid green dot above it), your focus should be okay.

Maybe not auto-focus, but per the forum's online manual,
"Like the lenses of many single-lens reflex (SLR) cameras, the focus on the FZ10 can be set `beyond' infinity! This is actually a `feature', in case the lens has not been manufactured quite correctly. So if you cannot focus that distant hill despite continuous turning of the focus ring anti-clockwise (to focus more distant objects), try turning the focus ring slightly clockwise instead (which brings the focus point closer to the camera)."

I, as well, find it frustrating that I cannot set my FZ20 to "infinity"

Is there something I am missing? If you use the "LANDSCAPE"
setting, is this essentially infinity?

The FZ20, therefore, MUST be DESTROYED!

What usually works for me is to tie it up to the back of my truck and drag it for 2 miles, not 3 miles mind you. Give it a try:idea:
