I have just brought a UV filter for my fz20 and was wondering , when is it inappropriate to use? i.e. inside?? ect

Apparently, the uv filter has no noticeable effect at lower altitudes. Due to the general atmospheric haze? If you can get high enough you might see a difference. Like in theUpper Rockies or the Himalayas. We're ok down here. Anywhere down here.

No problem with flash, but I take it off for shots like this.

Why is that shot like that? What affectwould the uv filter have on the image?

When I shoot under low light conditionswithstage spots, I have experienced flares and washed out colors, which do not occur when the UV is removed.
