This is the skylight in the domed ceiling of the Great Hall at Memorial Hall in Philadelphia. I happened to be there to take some archives pics with my trusty fz1. Archives Tip: Set the camera to macro mode and zoom in a little to eliminate barrel distortion.

If you lock eyeball focus with the center black dot, it goes inverted and comes out of the monitor at you...getting dizzy...

fmoore; how would you know you have any barrel distortion on a totally circular object?

Sorry for the confusion. I was referring to the archives shots - articles, old photos, maps, etc - not to the ceiling shot which was taken at wa and filled the frame from about 60-70 ft away. Not a macro shot by any means, itis a huge dome skylight in the ceiling of the Great Hall.

Here are a couple of examples of the archive shots I'm talking about. FZ1 in macro from maybe 10" away. Thefirst is at 1x,the secondat 2x. Notice the lack of barrel distortion and vignetting on the 2x. Resized only.
