Hi,

After my attempt at B&W photos I thought I should share what you REALLY wanted to see!
I had a few issues with these photos as I was sitting on behind the fence hence ugly lines. It was interesting playing with the various setting as there was plenty of light about. Comments would be welcome although I dont know when I will get another opportunity to take photos of f1 cars again. By the way these are truly pieces of engineering genius, ~900 HP from a naturally aspirated engine is beyond description.
Back to the photos:
1- f/4.6, 1/800s, 12x zoom, ISO 100

2- f/4.0, 1/800s, 12x zoom, ISO 100

3- f/8, 1/80s, 10x zoom, ISO 50. I really like this one as I was using panning mode and it was one of the few that actually worked.

Yes, tough job when you are behind the fence
no.3 pan worked well, and I like no.1, the angles and
the crowd add to the shot.
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the comments guys. I wish I could have had a seat in the grandstand but at $300 + for tickets I couldn't justify it.

Good shots mate - I have enough problems taking pics of kids playing football let alone takign high speed F1 cars. By the way did you use a tripod/monopod or just handheld ?

Tree I think the shots are on the money. I like the effect of fence. Spy shots. Very cool.
