What is the better mode to use the lens nikon close-up 6t to make photo?

I must punt the selector to macro ?

Can I use the zoom optical for macro?

You should use aperture priority and set 5.6 or higher fnumbers to get a greater range of sharpness.....since the close-up lens tends to focus only the center of the image......you also can use the full zoom at these settings.....and shoot at a distance from the object of 25 or 30 cms.

Thanks a lot to answer.

So is not necessary to put the selector to macro to make a macro photo.

I must use A on selector and 5.6 or more with zoom if necessary.

The distance can be 20-25 cm.

Is ok ?

Bye

It's my understanding (and I could be wrong) that the reason for Using a Nikon 6t (or similar) is so you have full use of the 12x zoom. If you put the camera on macro, you loose it around 3x just as you would without the 6t. Close up lenses are basically magnifying glasses that you put in front of your camera lens. Some of course are better than others.

I would use Manual focus..

If the Maorumi close up lens has a diopter strenght of +4.....then, it has the same magnification as the Nikon 6T has......about the image and lens quality....I know nothing on the Maroumi lens....but my Nikon 4T is superb.....but if you wanna a greater magnification then you should go for the Raynox 250.

Thank you FZ_10 user.

I don't think I need as much magnification as Raynox, maybe a 6T + 5T...
NOTE : Maroumi is 4+, 6T is 2,9+... so not the same.

By the way another question I have also posted in the last Tchuanye's thread:

If I use FZ20 adaptor with the 6T alone (via a 72-62mm step down ring) is it possible that the magnification will not be as noticeable/effective as with Pemaraal/Phayee owing to the longer size of the FZ tube?

Ithought that the slightly longer distance between 6T and FZ lens might cause some more vignetting or perhaps worse quality, but not less amgnification.
Anyone Could give it a try?

Someone told me that with 6T and std adapter the magnification at 12x - 25cm is not much bigger than with the sole FZ20 in macro at 3cm.

thanks
Francesco
