Went down to South Beach today for lunchand took a few shots of the local architecture. Didn't have a chance to take many, but wanted to share nevertheless. Nothing spectacular here, so don't get your hopes up. Will have to get down there again for some art deco shots when the weather warms up. It must have been almost 80 degrees today. Brrrr...!

As always, opinions are welcome.

Aren't the warmer climates nice this time of year? It's been in the 80's here in the land of "Fruits and Nuts" too. I love it.

I really like what you are trying to do with your pictures but I think you are skimping a little too much in your composition. I keep waiting for the rest of the picture to download. Your angles are really interesting but I think you need to show just a bit more of the scence. When you don't it makes it hard for the viewer to know just what it is you want us to focus on. The color and the sharpness are very good as well, IMO I just think you need to expand the shot a little more. But, that's just me.

As I said I like what you are trying to do.

Stay cool,
smac

Point taken. Now that I look at them again, I can see where you're coming from. It's just that I was so close to the buildings that if I had tried to the get more of them, I would have had to zoom out so far that they would have been lost and I would have been showing the traffic, mobs of people, construction, and the dirty street - all of which would have been distractingand not verynice. The back streets are quieter. Will have to concentrate on those on a later date. Practice, practice, practice...

Thanks forthe suggestions.

The reflection shot in the sunglasses is a winner. Maybe sunglasses should be rated by the amount of barrel distortion...
