Nice captures. You've focused nicely through the trees. #2 is especially crisp showing loads of feather detail on the body. I've been enjoying the 1540 also. It's a very good performer and a great value to boot.

The pics show even more detail in the unresized versions. I also have been very pleased with that lens. It gives me just enough more range to get a lot of nice bird shots at the favorite bird blind I go to.
