It has 1gig of storage on line. I think my old account has 200meg.You can also store and search your mail in some pretty neat ways. Has a spam blocker that works really well.

boyzo..great shots..love them both:G

beware of the MAIL MAN

The Gmail advertising concept is simple. When you log into the Gmail to retrieve and view your email, the service automatically scans the contents of the email and displays a relevant ad on the screen for you to see....

Your dead right Will about gmail scanning email content and flagging up advertisements that matches some key words.
In CA a senator is trying to get them to stop doing it, the other thing would be and gmail were asked at the outset was to use 128bit encryption but they refused.
We will have to see what happens, its still a good web mail.
Bear in mind all web mail ie msn.com yahoo.com scan all mail for spam and other strings.
The best web mail is hushmail www.hushmail.com I have used it at times it uses the highest level of encrytion.
Also gmail pushed the mail box size way up now the others offer 250Megabyte up from paltry 2meg (free accnt's I am reffering to)
Just be cautious.

Mozilla Firefox has a matching email client called Thunderbird. The two work nicely together and it even copies your email server settings from I.E. or Netscape.

Duh I browse to my gmail account with firefox. I suppose that might explain why it blocks the popups in gmail. i am after all using a browser to access the gmail.
