i think this is the closest macro i've been able to do with my FZ20. bear in my mind i have no macro lens, only using the camera lens. resized to 80% and then cropped. is that good enough or should i be able to get closer?

looks pretty good to me, for just the camera lens... especially given that flies are a skittish lot and don't generally let you rest the lens on top of them to get a good macro shot!

Hey Max...lookin pretty good, ya should be really happy with that one,I've never been able to get that close to a fly.

I meant to ask whatta feed the fly to keep him so still???????

sorry it took so long to reply. was at the girlfriend's house all day:Guh for the fly pic it was actually inside the car on the window thing and it actually even let me take a full flash pic of it and didnt even fly off till i tried to catch it:|



thanks willow, you're the one who got me interested in taking pics of insects. got some interesting pics today, might post some of them later once i go through them. first got to look at my girl's 15s pictures...i was shooting in TIFF mode like crazy:|
