Hi all,

New to the Panasonic forum, I have a Kyocera M410R which is my ultra zoom and it's a fantastic little camera for the price, but have just managed to buy the LC1, at a very good price!!!!

Less than half retail price, anybody got one, whats it like?

Mine will be with me in a couple of days, so can't wait.
So anybody with experiences with it would be nice.

Cheers

Ian

Welcome to the forum !

No experience of the LC1..although I've seen one or two being used in town. I've been tempted myself but I'm still happy and learning with my FZ10. If you got at less that 1/2 price then you got a serious deal.

Check out the links below for hands on reviews on the Digilux2/LC1:

http://www.photo.net/equipment/leica/digilux2/ - I'd seriously read this is as its an in depth review of the Diglux2/LC1

You may also want to check the Leica Digilux forum too as there seems to be quiet a few LC1 users there too.

Post some pics when you get a chance and let us know what your presonal thoughts on the camera are.

Cheers

:?

PS

You'll find the Pana's are cracking cam's, and in my humble opinion probably the best digicam's out there.

LC1 is a superb camera, can be used fully manually, or Auto P&S, optics top class, body cast alloy and rigid, 28 to 90 zoom ok for most situations, its a Pana version of the leica
digilux.

Like Boyzo says .. it's supposed to be a superb camera - from what I've read a lot of pro's are using it as the main cam. The only difference between the LC1 and the Digilux2 apparently is in the software - Lecia have very low setting for sharpness, contrast etc compared to the LC1.

Happy shootin !

:blah:
