I read one review where someone stated that the CTA Replacement Battery for Panasonic CGA-S002A1B would not work properly with the FZ20 or the associated charger. Have any of you tried this battery and had problems or success?

Thanks

Does this go for the charger also. Meaning it works (fits) fine.?

Thanks

Fits perfect just as the Panasonic.

At least mine do.

Hi all,

For the price of a replacement battery ($39.95), I ordered a 7.2v, 1800mA external battery pack called the DigiPower DPS-9000. It can attach to the tripod mount under the camera. Plus it has its own tripod mount so you can still use a tripod. Of course, the downside is you will have to remove the battery to change SD cards.

I should be getting the battery pack in a couple of days. I will post feedback about the battery pack after I give it workout next week. I also will be trying out the Trek-Tech.com TrekPod which is a walking stick/monopod/tripod combo.

Enjoy life!

The feedback is appreciated.

Gospel, from whom did you order the DPS-9000 battery pack and walking stick/monopod/tripod?

Thanks

You may want to look at this plate to mount the DPS9000 on , it will allow acess to the battery compartment

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...tem=7500887231

The best place I have seen to get the pack is Ritz

http://www.ritzcamera.com/webapp/wcs...ductId=9621132

The only problem I see with a battery pack, and I have been using the Digipower for over a year, is the camera will not go into sleep mode and if you forget to turn the camera off it will drain the battery overnite. And if you leave the regular battery in also, it too will be dead.

Oh, I forgot about the TrekPod. I got a ad from www.ccrane.com but they won't have it until late April. So, I ordered it directly from www.trek-tech.com. Got it cheaper buying direct. Well, I don't have it in my hands yet.

Enjoy life!
