G'ood Mornin folks, the exfir reading is there with each photo, but it was a set at F2.8, ( now know I could have gone as far up to F5.6) 8 sec shutter time, manuel focus. aimed at where I thought the lens was looking at...seeing that you cannot see much even thru the EV. A big bugger with this camera......I just kept clicking away but if a lightning strike did happen within the 8 sec time I covered the lens with my hand so no more light could come onto the photo...but you do need a high-speed card...that would give you a quicker turn around time to take the next shot. and all were taken at 640 x 480. Oh yeah you need at least another battery mine went flat way too quick.

PS.And definiatley on a tripod and I used the remote control...think thats all.

Didnt know how long I'd be out for, and I'd get more photos, I had already some 120 on the card, as it was I shot off some 300 + and then only got a few decent ones. Now know I could of gone maybe the next size or 2 up.

Good shots!I like storm photos.MyFZ20 arriveda couple of days ago and hopefully will be ready to go when ourstorm season (severe)starts, which isnot faroff and I expect to have plenty of opportunities. Just need for work to let up and give me time to get familiar with it.

BTW Hazzarbone, you should be the poster child for an Aussie prospector. Or are you? :-)

Outstanding! Very dramatic. Steven Spielberg kinda stuff. I love force of nature shots. I applaud your patience, good work.

Before this forum...my idea of good photos included people. Now since this forum I am the biggest fan of macros and nature...truly amazing and breathtaking.

Great capture, the ominous look of the clouds adds great texture to the composition. I wish I could capture something close to this someday...
