This buttermoth, mothfly, whatever it was allowed me to take about 50 shots before it flew off. Here are just a couple.

Macro photography certainly has it's share of challenges but I love the result when it works.

All excellent photographs. #3 is my favorite. What an extraordinary velvety creature.

Just a thought. If you have enough room to close crop #1, it could be an outstanding photograph.
