Agreed. Do you think Panasonic has any idea how many buyers are persuadedbecause of this forum?
Well you can count me as one. Back-end of last year I worked out what I wanted and scanned around, following every link that I could find about the cameras I was considering. I ended up here and have stayed ever since. Learnt a lot that helped convince me that the move from my 20year-old Pentax SLR was to the FZ20. I then convinced my other (better) half and am now the proud owner - two whole days!

I'm doing what you great guys have taught - take photos, read the manual and take more photos.

Hope to post some examples of my art (well I can dream can't I).

Thanksand aHappy Easter to all.

Ian

How do you think they would react "over there" to my suggestion that the FZ-20 would make a lovely chapeau?

Think I'll try it.
that presupposes they know what "chapeau" means...

welcome, Ian... like you, i went from a 20-year old Pentax SLR (ME Super) to the FZ20, and from the shots i've taken so far, the '20 blows the doors off my old film camera!! take pictures, then take more pictures. take LOTS of pictures...

I would like to agree the Panasonic forum is the best camera forum that I have seen.I have been reading a lot on Steves forum for some time now trying to learn some things about the long zoom digitals.Spent hours reading the different brand forums of camera that I am going to buy.On most brand forums they have lots of threads of camera problems. On this one it is all about takeing pictures and having fun which would lead me to believe the Panasonics don't have as many problems as some of the others.Like some of the other posters I have old Pentax slrs,Spotmatic and K.I bought a Panasonic LC-20 two years ago and sence have taken more pictures with it than with the film cameras in the last twenty years.
I am going to buy either a Panasonic fz15 or Nikon 4800 soon.I made a good choice in the lc-20 which will be my shirt pocket camera as long as it will hold up
