The Easter Bonnet Parade is a tradition in Ocean City, New Jersey dating back to the 30's, I believe. All the local folks come out and show off their Easter finest. There was an especially large turn out this year to see the "Most Unusual Bonnet", a prize covetted by many.

Happy Easter from my corner of the Earth.

Love to see shots of tradition being continued like this.

Back home in Hawai'i in the old days the women wore hats like that, except something like the winner.

Thanks for taking those pics and sharing.

Wonderful tradition SGB - thanks for sharing it with us. The second shot of the little girl is excellent of course. For the winner though, I personally would have voted for the other litte girl in the first pic with the rather large stuffed duck on her bonnet - very cute!
