Hazz, great idea. Really brings the focus on the bird. Second, nice shot and a great looking bird.

Great to see you trying new things but im not a fan of the result. I think it is always best to capture nature as is, it is already truly amazing thing why alter it.
I can see that there are times when this sort of PP is good and you certainly have done a good job of it but I preferred the original.
I saw some of these guys in the weekend, I was surprised how big they are.

Guys, thanks for your comments, true when it looks good leave it, been trying all different things since being more than less stuck in this bloody wheelchair, been waiting for some books to arrive that may help with digital imaging, just for something to do.

Again Thanks

I agree with Treemonkey, esp with this particluar shot. I wonder how it looks all in B&W with maybe the contrast tweaked abit.

Cheers

Hazza

Just tried it in B&W and I see what you mean. Here's what I managed to get - looks slightly better in photoshop but not much. I also tweaked the orginal - just slightly adjusting the levels and did that little white balance tip.

Cheers

Colour - Your Colour on B&W is much better than the plain B&W.
