I don't normally take pic's of kids in the park unless its family but at lunch today I did. I still feel odd taking pics of children playing so these are at a distance. The one i like the best was completly out of focus - the sun was a wee bit bright and I had trouble using the LCD for that shot. Ok here they are - just minor USM and very little levels adjustment, all hand held at ISO50. Wish I had the tripod!

This ones cropped, may be at 8x zoom.

The final one - the one that was out of focus. Just resized. I'll have to ask the bubba to return next week and tell her not to swing about and stay put! In the LCD it looked as if the baby was in focus but looking at the picture, you can see that the focus was locked onto the fence. Wonder if a higher res EVF and a shade for the LCD would have helped ?

HarjTT,

These are all nice to see kids doing what I miss since I am too old and too big to play on the playground like that.

The boy with the bandage on his chin reminds me of the time I ran so fast to be the first one to the jungle gym (as we called it in Hawai'i) as soon as the recess bell rang.

I ran so fast and hard I did not realize I was already there until I ran into it and got knocked out. Big ole goose egg knot on the side of my head.

VzInquest

It was a joy to watch them play - all that noise and laughter . Like yourself it bought back lots of memories too and if I didn;t have my cam with me I would have loved to jumped onto the slide or the swings. Wish I could have had more time there but 15mins is all that I had. I'm just happy I could share the moment.
