Any advise much appreciated. Eventhough for once the subjects don't move :-) I found it very hard to focus handheld when zooming.
Discovered I have been sent a faulty sd card as again (like the first try out) half the pics can not be read by windows...
So these are not necessarily the best ones i had...
Sorry if these will be too many (I am nto sure how many is suitable to post in these forums...)

Juss

Had a look at the BM shots and theyre very good, esp with the discus thrower as I know that was a hard pic to take with the FZ10 due to the way they have lit it. The composition was nice to on a lot of the pics. Did you shootin in full auto or have you moved to manual ?

Hi harj;
Apologies for my hissy fit.....I just found the way that person commented rather too apruptly for my liking as there more polite ways of saying things to people without causing offense. It was as if I had intentionally caused problems for dial-ups...I wonder how many still use dial-up anyway as it must be a pain viewing any of these pages (not just my posts).

Anyway. I was trying some manual shots but did not feel confident so mostly still went to P mode.
The three you mention were all in P mode. Yes the lighting is strange in that spot (and many others there as spotlights come from funny directions)..I will have to get a nice tripod I think.

The statue (discus thrower) pics were:

from the distance of stairs:
P exposure
F 2.8
ISO 200
1.2 sec

Torso shot:
P exposure
F 2.8
ISO 200
1/8 sec

Face close-up:
P exposure
F 3.2
ISO 200
1/4 sec

Hope that helps,
Jussi.
