Hi Elphman,

this is not serious.... Panasonic, Kodak are not good cameras...

Well I guess I lost my time reading you :?

No.

Have a question for you....

WHICH CAMERA DO YOU CONSIDER THE BEST CAMERA ...

I myself, consider the best camera as the best features at the price I can pay.

I apologize in advanceif my post upset some of you,it wasn't the intent to denigrate the proud owners of Panasonic digital cameras (save the FZ20 - don't know how else to say this but I will say it, it is one of the most hideous looking cameras I've ever seen. It's huge, heavy, basically not asthetically appealing). Anyhow,a lot of you failed to address my simplistic post, considering it was the biggest no brainer post in the history of mankind (boy, was I wrong!), on the said issues concerning Panasonic cameras. Look, they are no better, okay, than other high zoom cameras, let alone, small compact cameras (btw, very disappointed to hear that the new Lumix LZ1 & LZ2 cameras lack EVF). For the best bang for the money, I'd easily go with the Canon SD500 - considered the hottest small compact camera in the market right now. I own the S410 model and it probably blows away any small Panasonic cameras and other brands as well. Canon is KING in the small compact camera market. Period.

But back to the DMC camera series. I've read two expert reviews from Dcresourse and megapixel.net, and while both reviewers did great jobin their extensive review of the new DMC-FZ5 camera (aka "the best 12X ultra zoom camera"), you can't help but sense some level of bias in favor of the camera. I guess what I'm trying to say is they make the DMC-FZ5 sound as if it was the best thing to happen to the digital camera world since man landed on moon. Which leads me to share with the rest of you another review site I came across, a FAR less biased review of the camera. A caveat: this reviewer doesn't blow sunshine like the others did so brace yourself if you find some feedbacks offensive.

Honest question, did you guys really do your research, long and hard, before surrendering yourself to the "Gods of all digital cameras?"

Peace.

Speaking of blowing.........................the link doesn't work and neither does your troll baiting. Go to the Kodak forum to bash Panasonic and please don't come back:!:

Is this guy on crack? His "FAR less biased review" rated the FZ5 as one of the topcameras reviewed on the site. The Canon Digital Rebel and the Nikon D70 took spots 1 & 2. The FZ5 came in at number 5.

Cameras I have owned.....Sony DSC P10 (not too good), Fuji S5000 (Very nice), Canon A75 (Poor), Minolta Z3 (Horrible) and the Panasonic DMC-FZ15 (Incredible). I have pictures from all to back up my Bias! I was extremely disappointed with the lack of sharpness with Canon. I would never buy their product again. :ak47:

Ok I said I wasn't biting but I will say this, perhaps you trust what you read too much without getting actual hands-on experience with the camera or listening to what others who have actual hands-on experience have to say. For example, did you know that the specs posted on the above site you link for the FZ-20 are WRONG? My guess is that you didn't. In your little world, when people write good things about these cameras they are biased, when they write criticisms they are giving their honest opinions. Honest question: who is the one with the preconceived notions?
