The first picture of the two walking down the path was on a very grey day. Later it eventually rained......

I liked # 1 a lot...if it was gray that dayit surely didn't affect the mood of your shot. A very peaceful look, almost makes me want to take that walk.

# 2 was a good action shot, a slightly faster shutter speed would have darkened some of the over exposed parts and frozen the action.

Very good. Good action shot (the second one) and great composition on the third shot using the law of thirds and a great figure group with a lot going on - the winner being interviewed in the middle ground, while a photographer takes her picture in the background as an animated conversation takes place in the foreground. You've captured the emotion and exhilaration of the event. Good eye.
