After 3 decades of being an SLR user I've made the switch to digital and purchased an FZ20. Being old school, one of my pet peeves that drives me crazy, is when I see people with their compact digital cameras, arms extended at full length, trying to frame their picture using the monitor. Just wanted to know if other FZ users use the EVF or monitor to compose their shots.

I rarely use the LCD. I am also an old 35mm SLR guy, so I am used to using the viewfinder, so that's what I do all the time.

Personally I prefer the LCD for framing my pictures .

I'm of an older school than you with regard to SLR photography.

Whatever works best for the one pushing the shutter relase button is ok with me !

I use the EVF, except when doing macro shots. I don't like sticking my head that close to insects or into bushes, etc:G

Mostly the EVF but from time to time the LCD Screen. I think the LCD gives you some flexibility in shooting over things that you just could not accomplish with the EVF. Not as big a benefit as it would be if the LCD could tilt and swivel but still useful.

I mostuse the EVF.

Recording,reviewing and menu-setting.

No need for glasses anymore.Because there is a dioptric adjusting on the EVF.
