great shots, Suze! looks like you have the same flower (#1) in your yard that i have in mine! any idea what it is? mine came as part of a collection of wildflower seeds that my ex scattered about, and i have no idea what it is!

Sorry squirl - the flowers in #1 are not my garden and no clue what they are called.

VP - The flowers I have photographed come from a lot of different places. I am quite lucky that the english people plant anywhere and everywhere! My favourite spots are the english gardens found at various estates / castles /parks in the area that are open to the public. On a lazy day when I don't feel like going far, the local garden centre / nurseryis a great pace to get shots. * added bonus at the garden centre, not so much time spent bending or on your kees as the plants are mostly on tables at waist height :?:-)
