Saw this swarm of flies? or bugs over this flower.....found the eyes very colourful....first time seeing it. I think I just saw someone post this same fly/bug pic recently. Anyone know the ID?

Anyway, took these with FZ10+Nikon 6T + Sigma CU lens (bought this for my 70-300mm APO Sigma lens long ago), reverse lens where stated. F8, ISO 50, ext flash bounce/direct for reverse lens.

Appreciate any critique.Thanks.

Amazing! #3 is particularly nice.

Pardon my ignorance: what is "reverse lens"?

Its a SLR lens mounted in reverse so that a much higher magnification can be obtained.

Interesting. I have an F1.7 50mm Minolta lens, too... I might have to have a go, just for fun, if I can get my hands on whatever adapter I need to connect it.
