Hi, my latest avatar is an oldJapanese block print, it inspired me to take these pictures based on traditional perspective and subject matter. I have purposely saturated the color on #4 and #5 to create the illusion of a fresh block print. No #7 was not a mistake, it's very much in character an traditional.

Your comments and opinions are encouraged and very welcome. I tried my best but that darn bird had a huge ego and just didn't feel like cooperating, I guess I should have offered more than union wages:angry::?.

All nice captures and composed well. The last oneis my favorite due to the reflection.

White is tough to capture with detail. I like the second one for that.

There seems to be a bit of CA in all but the last one though. Slightly detracts but not a deal breaker.

Did you try to print any of these to see if indeed CA would show up?

No, I just got home and did some quick PP and sent them over. I shot these about 5pm it's been a very bright day and I had quite a bit of problem with water reflections and such, plus the subject was so white and reflective that even with spot metering I had a hard time. He just wouldn't stay sill. Oh well enough with my excuses that's the best I could do andI shouldn't bash the poor bird, HE DID strike a pose before he flew off. Here it is.

Not that partial to the first two due to the larger bits of green algae / plants. Love the rest though  Very nice effect with the saturation!
