Hi everyone!

Yesterday i went out to shoot some photos of an owl. I had some problems with focusing - everytime the owl flew over me i couldn't focus on it..So the question is, what AF Mode are you using, when you're shooting an fast flying object?

Actually I'm also using the TCON17 tele conventer..Can this be the problem?

Thanks,

Joshh

Josh

faST moving (horizontally) objects should be shot in 3 areas focusing or central area or spot. The first and the last one are the fastest.

The problem with over 300mm focals is just to follow the object on the LCD or VF, especially with bright light.

Also one of the burst is very important in order to get some good shot, and probably Continuous AF too.

Try the panning mode with fast shutter speed bursts.
