Were they all at F8, and how far away/what zoom setting please? Have you tried any other close-up lenses on your FZ3? Thanks.
All at F8, 12x zoom, ~12cm away from the spider. I haven't tried any other close-up lens yet, but I'm planning to buy a Nikon 4T or 6T.

I have a Canon 250D, and while it's a bit more expensive than those Nikons, it's a bit stronger (+4D). I bought it at a good price on eBay. It has 58mm threads, so it needs a 55 to 58mm step-up ring, but that means it has a wide rear element and so there is no vignetting all the way through the zoom range on the FZ3. Also it lets through much more light than the DCR-250, which I also have. The only thing I haven't been able to do yet is get the kind of great macro shots like yours! That's a good tip about using burst mode - I'll try that!
