A while ago somebody posted a link in this forum, to this page where this guy was doing a comparisson between the Digital Rebel and the FZ20's image quality ,with crop samples any everything.
The FZ20 was winning ( at least with the Sigma lens that the Rebel had on)
Anybody know what I'm talking about? I need the link...

Thanks,

Amir

Thanks Jeff!
Not quite what I was looking for, but just as good
I actually wouldn't be surprised if it was the same guy...
The one I'm looking for wasn't posted in a forum but as a detailed webpage.

Amir

I would really like to have seen this test done with a better lens on the Rebel.

If the Sigma is like my Tamron 28 to 200, it is OK, suitable for a purpose, but not outstanding. At max zoom, its faults would be the greatest.

A real test would be between a 75 to 100 fixed or top quality zoom with the FZ 20 set at the same length.

OTOH, I enjoyed viewing these pics as I shot a lot of film on an N70 with a 28 to 200 Tamron before buying the FZ20.

Like they say, "you'll have to pry my cold, dead hands off my FZ 20 before you get it!"

FWIW - These photos, most all of them, were shot with the Nikon N70 and Tamron lens, photos were either scanned, or negatives put direct to disc in Ha Noi.

The following photos are almost 100 percent shot with my FZ20.
