Well someone brought me out from lurking again :-)

I found the proboscis interesting in this one. Very long for the scale of the fly.

And another fly blowing the bubble. This one the bubble is starting to change colour from clear to a darker shade after being in and out a few times. Must be an acid to help the digestive juices.

These flies are interesting in that they have a purple stripe running through the eye's. I've also seen them with several stripes through the eye's.

All the best macroholics :-)

All with the FZ10 of course and just with a simple +3 on front. F/8 as always

Danny.

Great pictures, how does the autofocus perform at different zoom levels with diopter, does it work at all with 12x ?

Very nice clear shots. I also shot a fly blowing a bubble and was wondering what it was. I thought maybe he had just been chewing a little Bazooka.

Hey thanks folks. Always a pleasure to come out of lurking sometimes :-)

Henrik, never used auto focus and I just move back and forward to focus. I should try spot focus one day, might be interesting. I think it maybe too slow at some of the ratios we go for though.

All the best macroholics and again, thanks :-)

Danny.
