I purchased an FZ 3 camera a few months ago and lost the plastic hood that helps keep out sun glare. Does anyone have an idea how I can get a replacement?

I am leaving for a trip to New Zealand on Wednesday and would love to get one before I leave but I bet that is a long shot. I would like opinions on how important it is for photo's on my trip.

Thanks in advance.

Google panasonic parts. Type in dmc-fz3 for model number. Lens hood ass'y for $14.48. No way you'll get it by Wed. I have the fz1 and fz5 and never use the lens hood. Just dont shoot too far into the sun. If I have to, I can block the sun somewhat with my hand. The lens hood is just another part I would have to make room for and worry about. I don't.

I would think any camera store should have a 55mm lens hood of some sort.
