Note: this may be a repost. I'm new here and didn't see it after I thought it submitted the first time.

Anyway, I'm looking for macro shots from FZ3 users but WITHOUT the DCR-250 lenses or anything like that. I want to see what I'm going to get right out of the box if I do in fact buy this camera.

In particular, insect shots would be good because I could judge the size better than with, say, a flower.

Thanks!

This was one of my first macro shots, of a normal spider at home, and I was very pleased with the result. Both the camera and the picture were just out-of-the-box, as you want!

Nice... that's what I was hoping to see (not mating grasshoppers, but rather the quality and detail in the photo...lol). The only thing I've been able to do with the camera so far was test it out on a quarter and nickel in Circuit City, but seeing the image on the LCD only doesn't do it much justice.

So that's why I appreciate the help...keep them coming! :-)

I caught this ant looking for food on a tissue sheet.

by the way, I'm picking up the FZ3 today. But I'm also graduating next weekend, so I'm moving to my apartment today...which means I won't have the internet to let you guys know how it's working.

They are really great pictures of the Ant and the spider . I shot an Australian Bull-ant recently, taken hand held FZ20. my shadow may be seen in the rear end of the Ant . These ants are very prolific where I live in Southern Australia , they have very nasty bite. The image stabilizer in the FZ20 and the macro facility enables pictures I could never have taken before , a great camera. :-)
