i like the way the reflection from the light seems to dance on the water. i was actually rather pleased that this came out as well as it did, as it was almost completely dark, and i had only a monopod with me...

Very nice. I like the reflection on the water also. For me that's a senior moment not lost in thought.

Hi Squirl, I too like the way the light dances in the water. That's quite interesting since the water seems so calm. You always have nice posts. Thanks for sharing. bentleysmom PS. I always think of you and your squirl picture as I am taking pictures of squirls maybe someday I'll get a good enough picture of one to share with you. b'mom

pappy, your comment intrigued me.....so I downloaded the picture and took out the light post but left the pier, I like it that way better.

Squirl, I hope you don't mind me having a little fun with your pic. It's an excellent shot by the way.

don't mind at all. too bad you couldn't add the reflection between the far side of the pier and the opposite shore... that would've really completed the transformation! without PS or Paint Shop Pro, i'm a bit limited in terms of what I can do in PP, but stuff like this makes me think i'll have to invest in one or the other sometime soon...

Why didn't I see that:?. OK, here it is.

BTW I didn't use Photoshop, I used "Picture It! Digital Image Pro". It's only about $80.00

I like the original. It looks fake with what Hiroshi did. What's the light supposed to be? The moon:?
