the FZ5 is based on the FZ1/2/3 body, and is much smaller than the FZ20. it also lacks a manual focus and flash hotshoe, and the maximum lens aperture at full zoom is f3.3, while the FZ20 maintains f2.8 throughout the zoom range. it also has a slightly smaller LCD.
