here's how some of those black-background shots look after printing and framing... it's actually pretty dramatic, and this shot doesn't do them justice, but it gives an idea...

I was wondering what you used to print your shots or did you send them off to a lab for printing?

had 'em done at the local Kits Camera store on matte paper. they do pretty good work there, the colors seem pretty true to the originals (with an occasional exception), and they do 'em quick.
