IM PISSED!!!!

i bought the camera today at Ritz. $649 after taxes.

i bring it home and charge the battery for 3 hours (ritz employee said to). i turn it ON and it says to 'turn camera OFF, then back ON' so i do that, then it just cycles through the same message over and over. Ritz is closed. Panasonic tech support is not open at ANY TIME that i am able to call.

IM PISSED!!!!

can anybody help me out or tell me whats going on.

I don't know what the problem may be but, take a deep breath and don't panic. Tomorrow is a new day. Remember, you bought it from a local dealer. You can go back and talk face to face.

#1 Is the camera they gave you, fresh packed (box never opened)? If not. Take it back and demand a fresh pack!

#2 If it was a fresh pack. Take it back and explain the problem. If they solve the problem to your satisfaction, OK. If not, demand a new one (fresh pack).

#3 If they give you grief. Demand your money back. Take the money, save a $100.00 an order a new one from a reputable net dealer, such as B&H photo.

There are always alternatives, right?

You do have a memory card installed in it, right? And lens cap removed when you turn it on?

Circuit City online had the fz20 for $522 plus a $20 rebate. May change next week though.

I'd be pissed too. I only paid $479 for mine with free shipping.

I ordered and received my new FZ20 from Beach Camera online for $466 plus $12.95 shipping. Ordered on Sunday it arrived on Wednesday and was new fresh pack. I love it. You will start spending more and more money on it as mentioned above.:G
